Identify the Watch: Support

Support

Thanks for using Identify This Watch. Here are answers to common questions and how to get help.

How It Works

Identify This Watch uses on-device machine learning to identify wristwatches from photos. Take a photo with your camera or pick one from your library, and the app will identify the brand, model family, and show matching catalog entries with specs and pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The app didn't recognize my watch

Identify This Watch currently covers 30 major watch brands and 150+ model families. If your watch isn't in the database, the app will show "Unknown Watch" rather than guess incorrectly. We're expanding coverage with each update.

The identification seems wrong

Check the confidence percentage shown in the results. Identifications below 55% confidence are marked as "Low" and may not be accurate. Lighting, angle, and photo quality all affect results. Try photographing the watch face straight-on with good lighting.

Does the app need internet?

No. All processing happens on your iPhone. The app works in airplane mode, offline, or anywhere without a connection.

Does the app save or upload my photos?

No. Photos are processed in memory on your device and are never uploaded or stored remotely. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What iPhone do I need?

Identify This Watch requires iOS 17.0 or later. It works on all iPhones that support iOS 17.
